I'm
currently at 210 pounds. I am living a dream, one of wonder and joy
from every triumph and every personal interaction. I love my life,
and I love my body. The prison I used to inhabit now
enables me to be active every day, taking long walks, golfing, running,
backpacking, bowling, lifting weights, and many other things that
just a year ago I thought I would never be able to do again. I
marvel at even the simple things I can do now that I could not do a
few short months ago, like tying my shoes or crossing my legs. In
just 10 months, I regained my health and my life. Once on the brink
of death, I have literally been reborn.
In
November 2005, I returned to the Duke Diet and Fitness Center for a
refresher. I went to make sure I was still on the right track, and
to take my knowledge to the next level. “Are you SCOTT!?” said
the man standing in the lunch line. “I heard you lost over two
hundred pounds since February! You look fantastic. How did you do
it?!”
On Memorial day 2006 I ran in the Boulder Colorado BolderBoulder 10K
walk/race. I didn't set any land speed records, but I
finished, and I knew that my life had been given back to me. I
knew that I would have to finish a half marathon run before the end
of the year. This past month I finished the BoulderBackroads
half marathon. My life is back and feel wonderful.

Let's
see, do you have enough space for all that has happened since I have
lost my weight so far? When I started this program on May 6,
2005 I weighed 281.1 lbs. I was having severe back and knee
problems to the point I was having to go to the emergency room.
Now since I am a CT Tech in a hospital and work mainly out of the
ER, you can imagine the last place I want to go on my time off is
back to work..haha. Well, I finally reached my bottom emotionally
and decided I needed to do something about it. Technically, I
qualified for the BARIATRIC surgery but having seen several friends
have it and have complications from it (including one dying), I
decided that as long as I can walk, then I can do something about my
weight. I knew what had worked in the past for me and realized
that it was when I was living at home and my parents cooked our
meals that made it so successful. I don't like to cook and it
never made sense to cook for one person. I researched the
internet for programs that provided my food for me. I really
wanted one that had real food rather than processed food. My
sister sent me your website because she had heard of it from a
friend. I read and read and thought about it and came to the
conclusion that this was probably the one for me. Boy was I
right!!
The
food is fantastic and I love the fact that I don't have to cook or
clean
up!! I can tell you that in the 1 1/2 yrs that I have been
losing weight, I haven't had problems with my knees or back, my
feet and lower legs don't swell, I am exercising and now even
training for the Walt Disney Half Marathon in speed walking! Next
goal will be a mini triathlon. I have tried rock climbing...and even
made it up to the top of the wimp wall (the easiest one). It
was so weird, when I started that climb, my fat self was saying that
there is no way that I can climb it but my new skinnier self was
saying yes I can because I am healthier now and I was right. I
now have men looking at me, flirting with me and that is so foreign. I have been heavy pretty much all of my life and never
really got the guy's attention. I haven't quite figured out
how to handle it yet, but is sure is fun trying... Everyday,
someone either at work or when I am out and about, will make a
comment on how great I am doing.
I absolutely feel 1000% different and better physically, mentally
and
emotionally. Well, you know, I could go on and on and on but I
think
you get the drift. Thank you so much for the service you
provide!! I am
not going to say you saved my life, but you helped me save my
life.

I
literally tried everything -- Weight Watchers, Atkins, South Beach,
Cabbage Soup --and, though I would lose the initial 6-8 pounds, I
would plateau and after 3 weeks, give up and go back to the foods I
enjoy. And slowly, my weight crept upward to the point where I had
nothing to wear and my doctor got concerned.
I heard an ad on the radio and thought, why not give this a try.
I'm
single, work full-time, and don't have time to cook (let alone go
grocery shopping) and this sounded easy. I was only concerned
that the food may not taste good.
I started losing within the first week and steadily kept going
downward.
Even when I plateaued, I was able to stick with it, because it
really
was all the food I loved. I wasn't feeling deprived in any way
and was
never hungry. Inevitably, the plateau ends, and I lose more.
I still have 17 pounds to go but have no intention of quitting.
I've
told all my co-workers, who struggle as well. They are
constantly telling me
I look fantastic and are amazed at my "new" wardrobe --
all the clothes I
haven't been able to fit into in years.
I love the food, I love the convenience of picking up all my meals
for
the week and not having to think about what I'll eat. And most
of all, I
love the results.

years ago, I felt horrible. I suffered from tension headache and
hurt all the time. I decided I needed to do something about it and
felt that losing weight would be key to feeling better. I found
Diet-to-go online and ordered my meals. I started with 1600 calories
a day and after a few months switched to 1200. After I had lost
about 30 pounds I added walking and not long after that, I added
strength training.
I am thrilled to say that I no longer suffer from a daily tension
headache, I
feel great, I have kept the weight off, and I love to go shopping
for
clothes, something that I really hated before!

Thought
you might like to hear how much we have enjoyed Diet-to-Go.
We have been busy with remodeling projects and getting ready to go
on a six month trip abroad…hence it has been wonderful in so many
ways; no cooking, no grocery shopping, little clean up and wonderful
perfectly portioned, healthy meals. I have eaten three good
meals a day for the first time in my life. My husband and I
both feel better and have lost weight.
We
have also really appreciated the great service. Everyone in
your customer service department has been great to deal with. They
even arranged to home deliver our meals when a
Berkeley
pick up location was no longer available.

delicious!! Somebody must really love me!!!.....No

When
my son was born, I started receiving the Diet-to-Go meals to save
time. I didn't want spend hours in the kitchen preparing meals
when I would rather be tickling my son to make him laugh. The
quantity of food provided was so much more than I expected, I
usually kept my fruit or pudding for a mid-afternoon snack. I
loved telling people that I have chicken parmesan, baby carrots and
angel food cake for dinner or have grilled cheese and a brownie for
lunch.
Of course, I get to tell people often because I receive many
comments on how good I look. I love seeing their eyes go to my son,
calculate how old he is, and then look at me. Yes, I tell
them, I lost my pregnancy weight in 2 months. Now, I'm working on my
lifetime weight. I've currently lost 25 pounds in two and a
half months and I look forward to continuing that loss. And I
know that it will stay off because I'm learning what proper portion
sizes are and that you can actually be full eating healthy foods.

is my fifth week with Diet-to-Go. I have lost ten pounds and feel

I
am a widow and stopped cooking for myself. Therefore, I was not
eating correctly even after losing much weight from Weight Watchers.
I heard about you and decided to give you a call.
The low-fat diet is working for me, not only am I losing weight
because of the
portioned meals, which are delicious, (I haven't found one that I
have
not enjoyed), but my sugar is back on track. I feel more energetic
and I'm
starting to look good again. I am completing my fourth week and have
already lost 12 pounds. I have reordered for another 4 weeks.

I've been a customer of
Diet-to-Go for a few months now. I just want to thank you for your "real"
food - I actually feel like a human being when I eat my meals
instead of a dieter doomed to a life of tasteless meals. I had been
working out with a trainer but I still wasn't losing the weight I
wanted - that's why I tried Diet-to-Go. I'm happy to say that I'm
down almost 20 lbs. since June and have only about 15 more pounds. to

was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes about 7 months ago.
My A1C test level at the time of diagnosis was 11.4 (normal
range is 4.5 to 5.8).
These extremely high levels of sugar in my blood needed to be
put under control as soon as possible to curb the bad long term
effects of my disease.
The doctor recommended a healthy diet, exercise and diligent
testing to get my blood sugar levels under control.

My most recent A1C test level was a 6.0 (the American
Diabetes Association defines a “well controlled” diabetic as a
7.0 or below)!
My doctor was very impressed with the drop in my blood sugar
levels.

"Thought that you might like to know that I lost a
whopping 4-1/2 pounds the first week alone, that's 230 to
225.5 lbs! And at 5 ft 2-1/2, every little bit helps.
Hubby says I do not look swollen anymore. I have been able to
reduce the amount of diuretics (80 mg Lasix to 40mg Lasix) I
take because my blood pressure/swelling has come down so much. For
the first time in 2 yrs, I actually had a low blood pressure
when I went to my doctor. I am still not hungry in the
evenings, and when I do get a craving it isn't anything
but a boredom crave for food and goes away just as quick as it
came. This is great! I am telling everyone I know about it and
they are watching me like a hawk to see if I really am going
to lose the weight and not get sick (like with the Atkins
diet.... gall stones for everyone). My husband says I am
starving him though because I have reduced down the portion
size I serve him, because I am learning what a portion size really
is. But he is adapting and will live. Just thought you would
like to know!"

food is far better than I had anticipated! I'm pretty picky and was concerned
that it would not be fresh tasting, since everything is frozen. You
have done an amazing job with taste and also with the food being
filling.
I love the convenience of the program, as I am constantly on
deadlines and don't have time to cook. And even though I try to make
sensible food choices in "to go" food, I know that there
are more calories in that big turkey sandwich or chicken salad than
I think! Hence the unwanted pounds. Now I don't have to think about
food other than to eat it and enjoy it.
It's also important that the food be low in fat, as my cholesterol

just finished 4 weeks of Diet-to-Go a few days ago. I lost 8 pounds
in the first 4 weeks. I feel great and I have gotten motivated to
rejuvenate my exercise program. I use eDiets for support and
recording. The combination is phenomenal.
I am on 1600 calories a week and add a few calories in popcorn and
soy milk everyday. The best part is, because I don't feel hungry or
