  1. Chef Suggests: Our 5 Best Cold Meals


    When the heat of summer strikes, these cold meals are sure to satisfy and keep you cool. They're also portable which means they often end up with me at our neighborhood pool!

    Greek Pasta Salad
    This meal is on our Vegetarian menu and it's definitely our most popular pasta salad. We toss together the perfect portion of bow tie pasta, feta cheese, black olives, diced red peppers, and a great vinaigrette dressing. We think it's worth trying out our Vegetarian meal plan for a little variety... even if you're not vegetarian!

    Black Bean & Feta Cheese Wrap
    This taste sensation is also from our Vegetarian menu. This filling wrap will stick to your ribs. It's kind of like a burrito that's filling yet light and refreshing at the same time! The side of Wild Rice Salad is sweet, savory and chewy. The combo is perfect for summer.

    Curry Chicken Salad & Michigan Turkey Salad
    Both meals are from our new Week 5 menus and both are crowd pleasers that I couldn't leave off this list. The Curry Chicken Salad is fresh and creamy with great sides of Mandarin Oranges and Melba Toast - the sides really complete the meal and leave you craving nothing! The Michigan Turkey Salad is chock-full of almonds and large dried cherries and raisins. It's gourmet food you wouldn't make for yourself!

    Tuna Salad
    It's a Diet-to-Go original that's creatively crafted without mayonnaise. That's right... tuna salad without mayo! This amazing tuna salad is as unbelievably delicious as it is good for you. The recipe involves light sour cream, light Italian dressing, celery, parsley, onion powder and black pepper. We promise you won't miss the fat we drained from this satisfyingly huge lunch.

    Turkey Ham Salad
    This yummy original is not only one of the most popular meals here at Diet-to-Go, but it has a large following. If you eat this meal, you don't just like it... YOU LOVE IT! Turkey ham is a product that looks like ham, but is actually lean turkey that's really good for you! When mixed into a spreadable salad and slathered atop our famous Pretzel Roll, it transforms into a lunch that's out-of-this-world delicious.

    NOTE:
    Our Substitution List includes a few great cold items that are always available. Choices include the Green Salad (some customers like to replace the hot soups during the summer months with this), Smoked Chicken Sandwich, Turkey Pastrami on Rye, Deluxe Turkey Sandwich, and the ever-popular Peanut Butter and Jelly.
