  1. The Photo That Inspired Me to Diet & Lose 8.2 lbs My First Week!


    I'm back in the saddle again... and I am 8.2 pounds lighter after one week on my Diet-to-Go low-fat meal plan!!!!

    This diet plan has been such a hit for me on and off for the past decade.

    And speaking of hits, wanna see the photo that inspired me to get back on track? That's me -- the great pink whale in the center of the image.

    I coach girls softball (which helps expain the pink shirt). And until I saw this photo I thought I was doing okay weight wise. I didn't think I'd fill that dugout entry way so well!

    So after a fellow coach posted this on facebook and sent me the link I knew I had to take action and slim down. Last Wednesday i weighed in at 233.0 pounds -- and I stand just 5'7".

    This Wednesday my official Weight Watchers scale says I now weight 224.8. And I still stand 5'7"! :o)

    So what it means is that I have dropped an awesome 8.2 pounds in just my first week of dieting!

    Now I know most of the weight I dropped was the proverbial "water weight." I am sure my poor diet had me retaining a lot of fluid.

    So last week I stopped drinking so much beer and soda, started gulping lots of plain old water, and began in earnest on my first week of eating nothing but the meals sent to me by Diet-to-Go.

    I also found time for a little extra activity during the week.

    There you have it -- my secret to losing more than 8 pounds in one week!

    I know summer isn't usually the time to start a diet. But it works for me. With Diet-to-Go food delivered to my door each Tuesday, I don't have to fret over planning meals, shopping for food, or cooking!

    I just had 2 1/2 LARGE waffles with syrup and apple and peach slices for breakfast. I am STUFFED!
